The trainer behind the work

More than a career

I started with horses before I had a choice in the matter — they were simply part of life. Over 25 years, that childhood familiarity turned into a deep respect for how horses think, feel, and learn.

The hardest horses taught me the most. The anxious ones, the reactive ones, the horses everyone else had given up on — they showed me that progress comes from patience, not force. My job is to translate what the horse needs into something the owner can continue.

Today, the farm work has grown to include sheep, chickens, barn cats, and farm dogs. Every species has its own language, and I enjoy learning them all.

A whole-farm mindset

Horses may be the heart of this work, but a working farm is a community. When you leave for a trip or just need a day off, you should know that every animal is being checked, fed, and cared for by someone who sees them as individuals.

That means sheep get handled calmly, chickens get clean water and secure coops, cats get their routines, and dogs get exercise and company. Nothing is an afterthought.
